Sugar Daddy Large Poster
Sugar Daddy Small Poster (Front and Back)
Sugar Daddys
§ I forget the year of the first sugar daddy series. I think its 1975. Don't have time to look it up. All I have time for is to post the pictures of some posters for the set that are extremely rare (either that are nobody has ever noticed them). In fact, this is the only known "large" poster that I know about. I know of 1 other set of "small" posters. If you know of these ... let me know. Large, Small Front, Small Back.

Delays
§ Sorry for not being able to update the site, but my computer crashed last week and it finally started working again. This is a good thing because I was afraid that I had lost all my data (which would have sucked).
Signature Section
§ I have this pet project that I am working on which, when complete, will be really cool. As a result of my little pet project, I have been coming across many authentic signatures of HOF players. As a result, I am going to start a page dedicated to signatures. CHECK IT OUT HERE.

1948 George Mikan Grey Border w/Triple Print Back
1948 Bowman
§ So another big treat today. Here we have, thanks to Aaron M, a George Mikan 1958 Bowman grey variation. I personally think these cards look infinitely cooler than the standard issue. Also, the card has the Triple Print back. These cards originated from a few uncut sheets that were found awhile back. The sheets were cut up and, as a result, are ungradeable by PSA standards. Although the Triple Print back is commonly thought of being its own variation ... however, I have never seen it without the grey variation. Moreover, I think that finding a grew background with out the triple print background is incredibly harder to find (I'm not sure I've even seen just the grey variation).

Return of the King
§ Awesome movie. Probably the best action sequence ever filmed. But if you ask me will I see it again in the movie theater? My answer is 100% no. I was in the movie theater this morning for 4 hours and 45 minutes (and I only got to the theater 20 minutes early). The action doesn't start till 1 hour and 45 minutes into the movie -- the average length of a movie. When I buy the DVD, I don't think I will ever watch Disc 1 (the first half of the movie). What is the special edition going to be? 6 hours long. This is the problem I've had with the entire trilogy. If you ask my opinion, its amateur storytelling. It is simply story regurgitating. Anyway, I'm pissed off because I want to see a certain hour and a half of the movie again and now I have to wait until it comes out on DVD. If you want to go see a different type of awesome movie ... see The Last Samurai ... I've seen it twice. Awesome!!! In my opinion, The Last Samurai should win best picture (due to the incredible horrible "more is better attitude" by the fat English guy).

Two Uncirculated 1969 Topps Rulers
1969 Topps Rulers
§ So another big treat for all those readers that are pissed off at me for not updating my website in a month. Above are pictures of the original artwork for 2 1969 Topps Rulers that never made it into circulation. WOW. The first is Rudy Larruso (Topps fudged this because it looked like a "C" instead of an "L". Maybe this is the reason the card was pulled). The other is Bill Russell which would have been card number 4 in the set (we think) and was not produced because he retired this year. Once again, thanks to Peter B!

I'm Back
§ Another semester of useless law school is over. And boy do I have a ton of great things to post. So many that I don't even know where to start. This post would be longer, but I'm going to see Return of the King tomorrow at 9am so I need to get my beauty sleep.

1957 Topps Uncut Sheet
1957 Topps
§ Yes, you are not seeing things. The above picture is of a 1957 Topps Basketball uncut sheet. Thanks to Peter B. for providing me with the means to get this picture up. Awesome.
Great Items for Sale
§ Two Topps Test cards are on ebay right now. Bid ... Bid ... Bid away.
Beckett
§ Even though I haven't seen it yet, I wrote an article in the January Issue of Beckett Basketball Collector Monthly. The article is on the 1968 Topps Test Set. Every month I'm writing an article for Beckett Basketball so check it out. Next month, the article is on the bread for energy set. For March, I'm focusing on the 1899 Enameline Oil cards.
